Tennant to direct Heigl in 'Adaline'
'Bounty Hunter' helmer boards supernatural romancer
Andy Tennant ("The Bounty Hunter") will direct supernatural romancer "Adaline," starring Katherine Heigl in a co-production for Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.Filming will begin early next year. Producers are Sidney Kimmel; Steve Golin and Alix Madigan of Anonymous Content; plus Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi of Lakeshore.
Heigl's been attached to the project for several months. "Adaline," penned by Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz with revisions by Allison Burnett, centers on a beautiful woman -- mysteriously rendered ageless for the past 100 years -- who meets a man who finally may be worth risking her life to regain her mortality.
Heigl is exec producing along with her mother, Nancy, and Jim Tauber.
Heigl's about to begin shooting "One for the Money" for Lionsgate, portraying Stephanie Plum in an adaptation of the Janet Evanovich novel. She'll be seen next in Warner Bros.' drama-comedy "Life as We Know It," which opens in December.
Tennant's credits include "Hitch" and "Sweet Home Alabama."
He's repped by CAA.
